About Us

Mrs. Singamma Sreenivasan , an equal partner in all her husband's venture, has been described by her husband as a 'pure white- water diamond' in 'The Last Mysore Pradhan, The memories of Mr. M.A. Sreenivasan', Dronequill Publishers Pvt Ltd, 2005 (Previously published by Ravi Dayal as 'The Raj, Maharajas and Me', 1991). Mr. M.A. Sreenivasan, after his fruitful career in the Mysore Civil Service settled in Bangalore City and made its his abode.

In 1984, Mrs and Mr. Sreenivasan co-founded 'Singamma Sreenivasan Foundation' as public charitable trust , with the vision to improve the living conditions of the marginalized rural women and also to preserve nature and retain the traditional knowledge.

Today, the foundation is located in one of the few remaining gardens in Bangalore City and is constituted for a public purpose; it is a true oasis of beauty and serenity in this bustling metropolis. Sited on the edge of the Sankey Tank reservoir, it is a repository and propagation site for many rare and endangered species, as well as a demonstration and training centre. Thus, the property is not a museum piece, but a living laboratory and training center for many developmental activities.
